Radosław Sojak – doktor habilitowany, od 1998 roku pracownik Instytutu Socjologii Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika od 2024 roku prorektor UMK ds. kadrowych i polityki finansowej; stypendysta Fulbrighta na University of Virginia, Charlottesville oraz tygodnika POLITYKA w ramach akcji „Zostańcie z nami”; autor i współautor rozpraw Zagubiona rzeczywistość (2004 – z Danielem Wicentym), Paradoks antropologiczny (2005 – seria Monografie FNP), Spełniona obietnica (2014), Arystokraci i rzemieślnicy (2015 – z Łukaszem Afeltowiczem). Współtwórca Centrum Monitorowania Dyskursu Publicznego (www.cmdp.pl). Nieustannie poszukuje teoretycznych futerałów pozwalających zrozumieć otaczająca nasz rzeczywistość społeczną, od zawsze też zainteresowany debatą publiczną i jej jakością.

Radosław Sojak – PhD, post-doctoral degree, assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology at Nicolaus Coperinicus University (NCU) in Toruń, Poland. From 2024 Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Financial Management at NCU. Junior Fulbright Research Scholar at University of Virginia, Charlottesville (1999). Grantee of Ministry of Science and Higher Education and British Commonwealth Office (Plater/Nuffield Collage at Oxford 1998) and Foundation for Polish Science (twice 2000 and 2003). Main fields of interest include: social theory, sociology of science and knowledge, post-communist transformation (role of violence and behind the scenes aspects of social processes), public discourse analysis.
