Access to wholesale services on the FTTH market

The model of providing fiber optic wholesale services is becoming more and more common on the Polish market. Recently, we have observed an increase in the prices of wholesale services (often unchanged for several years), which raises questions about the condition of the entire telecommunications market and discussions about retail prices. At the same time, operators providing retail services began to introduce inflation clauses into their subscriber contracts, thus justifying the introduction of such clauses into wholesale contracts. Further development of the wholesale market should be based on the principles and mechanisms of openness and transparency. This is related to the processes of approving offers from wholesale operators, rules of access to services, and introducing standards in subscriber service and standards of process cooperation via API.
