Sławomir Cieśliński,
born in 1951, was born by the sea but has lived in Warsaw for over 60 years.
A historian by training (graduate of the University of Warsaw), his passion for the sea led him to serve for many years as a journalist and publisher of the monthly "MORZE" and an advisor to the Minister of Maritime Economy. After 1989, he held management positions in Polish and international media, advertising, and printing companies (including TVP, as a representative of Bertelsmann in Poland, Europlakat Polska, and "RUCH" SA).
He co-founded and then served as president of ELKART Electronic Card Systems from 1999 to 2001.
Since 2001, he has organized the "KARTA" Conference (renamed "Central European Electronic Card" in 2008 and "Central European Digital Payments" in 2017), the "Polish Cards and Systems" conference series since 2006, the "CommonSign" Conference in 2011, in cooperation with the Institute of Mathematical Machines and currently NASK, and the Digital Money & Blockchain Forum since 2014. In 2016, he organized the No Cash Day conference, which in 2017 became the Cashless Poland Forum.
He is a founding member of the Banking Technology Forum at the Polish Bank Association. He has been the
publisher of the "Polish Cards" Almanac since 2009.
Medien Service Sławomir Cieśliński (founded in 1990) is a member of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications. Sławomir Cieśliński currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the FinTech Committee and Vice-Chairman of the SMART Committee. Sławomir Cieśliński is also a member of the Polish Information Processing Society, the Association of Medical Software Developers, and the Polish Chamber of Medical Informatics. He is a founding member of Bank Technology Forum (launched 2004), a body of Polish Bank Association.
Since 2009 Medien Service is also the editor of Polish Cards Almanac.

He completed the Accelerated Management Program at Yale School of Management (Yale University, 2023) and Climate Change for Decision-Makers: Challenges, Transformations, Strategies at the University of Cambridge (2024). In 2011, he participated in the first session of the Institute for World Literature (Beijing, China), organized by Harvard University and Peking University.
He held fellowships at the Institute for Advanced Study, University of Amsterdam (2021-2022), the Institute on the Formation of Knowledge, University of Chicago (2016-2019), the Harriman Institute at Columbia University in New York (2009), the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (2007), the University of Ljubljana (2004), and Charles University in Prague (2002-2003).

One of Professor Adam Kola's main research topics is the mechanism of knowledge transfer as a social, historical, geopolitical, and culture-forming phenomenon. In 2013, 2014 and 2015, TV Puls, a channel broadcast by Telewizja Puls, received three "Tele Tygodnia" Telekamera awards (respectively in the categories: "lifestyle channel", for "a huge increase in viewership and joining the five largest television channels in Poland", and for "the most family-friendly television channel on the market"), and in 2016 – the most important industry award, the Golden Telekamera, for outstanding television achievements. The TV Puls series "Pawnshop. Life Under Collateral" also received the "Tele Tygodnia" Telekamera of the Week in 2018, 2019, and 2020, as well as the Golden Telekamera. Today, Telewizja Puls is the third largest commercial station in Poland.
He began his professional career in the United States. After returning to Poland, he held senior positions at key companies in the IT, telecommunications, internet, and fuel sectors. He served as CEO of Optimus SA, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Netia Telecom, TDC Internet, AC&G, and Entertainment Systems Poland, among others. He also chaired the supervisory boards of PKN Orlen, Optimus Lockheed Martin, and Onet.pl.
He is a former competitive judo athlete and model for the global agency ELITE. His work is his passion, but he values time spent with his family most. His wife, Erin Dąbska, is the president of the TV Puls "Pod Dębem" Foundation, which helps seniors.

The final area is purely business-related. Throughout his career, Irek served as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the IBM Poland Management Board, responsible for the company's operations in Poland.
He was the Secretary General of the TP SA Group, managing the areas of law and regulation, administration and security, as well as a Member of the Management Board of this group, responsible for Strategy and Business Development, and also the Vice President of Poczta Polska SA, responsible for the areas of IT, International Cooperation and Strategy, during the period in which the group was implementing a number of restructuring measures and considering the possibility of entering the public market.
Throughout his career, Irek has served on numerous supervisory boards, including Emitel, Wirtualna Polska, KGHM, and PKP PLK. He currently serves on the Supervisory Board of DESA S.A. – the largest auction house in Poland. He has also published several articles on the philosophy of mind. As of July 2023 Kamila was nominated as the Director of Directorate B Digital Decade and Connectivity of Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) after acting in this position from February 2023. Previously she served as Deputy Head of Cabinet for Vice President Ansip responsible for Digital Single Market. Prior to joining the Commission, she was employed at the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection in Poland as Adviser to the President.
